The beautiful decay of Venice

I sat on the Gondola,
Cruising through the canals
Mesmerised by scene,
Captivated by the land

In the City Lagoon there was,
Broken walls by the canals
Soft waves made by Gondola
 on the foundation of sand

A city of beauty
Stagnant in time
Old is her features
Made of marble and lime

Untouched by the World
Like a Virgin of the modern day
That’s where her wonder lies
That is her beautiful decay

I wish you were here

I wish you were here
My beacon of light
To guide through the sea
In the stormy night

I wish you were here
My Sun and Moon..
To be around me, always
And here to hold me soon

I wish you were here
Like the sand to the tide
In dark and fear
You are there  by my side

I wish you were here
My stars on lonely night
Looking into your eyes
Lost in your smile

I sent my love..

I sent my love through the Wind
Hoping it can reach your ears
But you’re not there to listen
Not even in a million years

I sent my love through the Water
Hope it can reach your tongue
But you dare not take a sip
Not even a breathe of the lungs

I sent my love through the  Earth
Hoping you can feel it with your  skin
But your heart turned cold
You cannot feel when it is no longer thin

I sent my love through the Fire
Hoping the passion can reach your eyes
But you are young and far too blind
Soon this flame is set to die….
